5. Unnecessary Sensors Eliminated
Factory sensors not required in simplified builds are removed to reduce wiring complexity.
6. Security / VATS Removed
Vehicle Anti-Theft System (VATS) is eliminated so the engine can run without factory security modules.
Installation Notes
Tune compatible with the stock wiring harness, but the following modifications are required for proper operation:
• Install a push-button start
• Hotwire the fuel pump for proper fuel delivery
For the cleanest installation and simplest wiring setup, we recommend pairing this tune with a Simplified Harness designed specifically for 1997–2001 GM 2.2L engines.
For demolition derby applications, recommended to hotwire the transmission to prevent unwanted shifting issues during competition.
