The Simple Solutions Engine-Pulling Kit – Half Back Plate is designed specifically for 4.6L Ford demolition-derby cars, providing a permanent, reliable mounting point for motor lifting brackets. This kit eliminates the guesswork and unsafe lifting methods, making engine removal quicker and more controlled between heats or during rebuilds.
The kit includes a 1/4″ thick front plate with an integrated cam sensor protector, adding durability and protection in high-impact derby environments. The front plate is designed to work with the factory plastic power-steering reservoir, and Simple Solutions also offers an optional aluminum power-steering reservoir for those looking to upgrade.
This is a half back plate design, meaning some factory components must be modified for installation. You will be required to remove and block off the heater-core tube that runs under the intake, as well as block off the heater-core inlet on the intake.
